About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Code, unit test, and build high-performance, scalable applications for Walmart International customers
Design, develop, implement, and document software solutions
Support the Seller Onboarding journey for Walmart Global Marketplace
Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies and contribute to the technology community
Collaborate with Product Management and Business to set priorities and deliver products
Design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions supporting strategic initiatives
Work with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions meeting Quality, Cost, and Delivery standards
Create high-level and low-level designs with engineering teams
Drive design discussions and technical decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

11+ years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable applications and platforms
Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
Hands-on experience with microservices and RESTful web services development in Java using SpringBoot, Dropwizard, or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, microservice architecture, service registries, ELK/Splunk, VMs, and related stacks
Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
Exposure to agile methodologies
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD development environments/tools, including Git, Maven, and Jenkins
Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of at least one cloud-based project
Strong hands-on development skills for prototyping technical solutions
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years of experience in software engineering or related area; OR 6 years of experience in software engineering or related area
