About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support, maintain, and enhance independent software vendor products on the z/OS mainframe platform
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure reliable operation, compliance, and integration of ISV solutions
  • Manage ISV software setup, configuration, upgrades, and vendor collaboration
  • Coordinate onboarding, lifecycle management, and decommissioning of ISV products
  • Perform maintenance, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and issue resolution in z/OS and Parallel Sysplex environments
  • Address security vulnerabilities and support access governance, compliance, audit readiness, and change management
  • Evaluate solutions and resolve technical issues for moderately complex projects
  • Support on-call incidents and drive cross-team coordination
  • Ensure stable, secure, and reliable software supporting uninterrupted enterprise operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 2 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering; OR 3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering
  • Expertise in z/OS ISV lifecycle management, including onboarding, upgrades, configuration management, decommissioning, and vendor coordination
  • Experience supporting complex z/OS and Parallel Sysplex environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, escalation, and solution evaluation skills
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, access governance, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness
  • Proficiency in JCL, TSO, REXX, Python, and SQL automation
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools for observability, incident analysis, anomaly detection, documentation, and automation
  • Hands-on experience with BMC, Compuware, Control-M, Mobius, Connect Direct, Tectia SSH, SAS, and MXG
  • Availability for on-call support and incident resolution
  • Experience with infrastructure maintenance and performance monitoring
  • Strong coding skills adhering to industry standards
  • Expertise in configuration, version, and release management
  • Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues for moderately complex projects
  • Understanding of infrastructure design principles, scalability, disaster recovery, and security frameworks
  • Proven vendor management or ISV tool lifecycle experience, including onboarding, upgrades, licensing, and decommissioning
  • Excellent troubleshooting and incident response skills
  • Familiarity with mainframe security, access control, and change management standards
  • Experience with z/OS mainframe environments and ISV products
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
