About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
- Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders, support Stores and Store associates, and document repair activities
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
- Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely
- Work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager
- Follow established maintenance schedules and guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade
- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade, or 5 years' experience in one of those trades
- Valid Driver's License
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
