About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute SEO roadmaps aligned with client business goals, audiences and growth opportunities
  • Serve as the primary SEO expert for WTA, presenting strategies, results and recommendations to clients and internal teams
  • Lead technical SEO audits and ongoing monitoring of crawling, indexing, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicalization, Core Web Vitals and page speed
  • Create prioritized recommendations for web and development teams, validate implementation and measure impact
  • Support website redesigns, migrations and launches
  • Identify opportunities for structured data and schema markup
  • Conduct keyword, topic, search intent and competitive research to uncover content gaps
  • Develop content briefs and guide improvements to titles, metadata, headings, copy and page structure
  • Develop local SEO strategies covering Google Business Profiles, listings, reviews, location pages, local content and structured data
  • Monitor Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and other discovery platforms, translating changes into recommendations
  • Evaluate content structure, authority, entity signals and other opportunities to improve search-engine and AI-system visibility
  • Establish KPIs and competitive benchmarks using Google Search Console, GA4 and SEO platforms
  • Explain performance results, business implications and next steps
  • Collaborate with Paid Search, Media, Strategy, Creative, Analytics, Account Service and Web teams
  • Manage priorities across clients while strengthening SEO processes, documentation, QA standards and best practices
  • Contribute to new-business pitches, scopes, estimates, case studies and WTA’s point of view on search
  • Recommend tools and resources, share learnings and mentor junior team members
  • Build a scalable organic search practice and help clients navigate traditional search and emerging discovery channels

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency or environment supporting multiple clients
  • Track record of independently developing and executing SEO strategies from initial assessment through implementation and measurement
  • Strong technical SEO expertise, including structured data, website redesigns and migrations
  • Solid command of on-page optimization, content strategy, keyword research and local SEO
  • Experience with Google Search Console, GA4 and tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog or similar platforms
  • Strong measurement and reporting skills, connecting organic visibility, traffic, engagement and conversions to business outcomes
  • Working knowledge of GEO, AEO, AIO and the evolving relationship between traditional SEO and generative AI discovery
  • Ability to turn complex technical findings into clear recommendations and explain them to non-SEO audiences
  • Strong client communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently, with close attention to detail and commitment to QA
  • Curiosity and willingness to keep learning, testing and asking better questions as search evolves
  • Experience with enterprise or multi-location brands, including local SEO at scale (bonus)
  • Experience in healthcare, travel and hospitality, financial services, retail or other competitive search categories (bonus)
  • Experience collaborating directly with developers and website teams (bonus)
  • Familiarity with Looker Studio or other reporting and visualization platforms (bonus)
  • Experience evaluating brands and content within AI-powered discovery platforms (bonus)
  • Experience contributing to new-business pitches, SEO scopes and strategic recommendations (bonus)
