About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent SSfH in a professional way at all times
  • Support the SSfH team with administrative tasks, including letter drafting, document review, minute taking, spreadsheet compilation and notice publications
  • Support delivery of training and awareness to wider staff within SSfH members
  • Manage day-to-day general enquiries to SSfH through the Procurement inbox, responding promptly and referring enquiries as required
  • Manage internal approvals relating to procurement activity
  • Manage the new supplier process, including verification checks as required
  • Conduct spend reviews to ensure spend and contract details are recorded in the relevant Contract Register and contract management software
  • Engage Budget or Contract Managers when gaps are identified
  • Contribute to guidance and template documentation development and maintenance
  • Input and maintain data on relevant systems, including Contract Register and Contract Management software
  • Adopt and embed best practice
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across SSfH and SSfH members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • GCSE Qualifications or Equivalent (including English and Maths) Essential
  • Experience of working in administrative roles, including maintaining spreadsheets or databases and producing summary information
  • Experience in delivering an excellent customer service
  • Experience of working in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to manage queries and positively engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver work of a high standard (including attention to detail)
  • Effectively manage and prioritise multiple work demands and priorities
  • Confident ICT user – significant experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Professional business approach
  • Able to operate flexibly in the allocation of duties and areas of responsibility
  • Able to take full responsibility for tasks assigned
  • Customer service skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Must already have and be able to provide proof of the right to work in the United Kingdom
