About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Senior Engineer and serve as Engineer of Record when assigned, planning project layouts and integrating engineering elements into unified designs
- Coordinate with other disciplines and participate in internal and external project meetings
- Prepare and supervise scaled drawings, specifications, and contract documents for building contractors
- Perform engineering calculations using Excel or engineering software
- Perform construction administration duties, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and periodic on-site observations
- Lead field work activities such as verification, assessments, and troubleshooting
- Review engineering software calculation outputs for accuracy and technical compliance
- Support technical development initiatives and resolve complex engineering design challenges
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Valid Cédula Profesional in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- 5+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role
- Proficiency in Revit required
- Ability to speak, understand and write in English is required
- Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles
- Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents
- Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
- Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
- Ability to effectively present information
