About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage design development, construction documents, and project specifications
Oversee production of drawing sets
Mentor team members on design strategies and delivery methods
Prepare contract drawings from start to finish
Work with the Project Manager to project schedules and deadlines
Manage clash resolution for complex project types
Provide construction administration services, including site visits and shop drawing reviews
Conduct local, county, state, and federal project code searches and analysis
Represent Ware Malcomb at jurisdictional public design review or development approval meetings and make project presentations
Coordinate quality control and peer review of contract documents before issuance
Assist with assembling consultant teams, identifying scope, collecting fees, selecting consultants, and facilitating contracts
Coordinate with contracted consultants and client consultants across trades to produce complete contract documents and specifications
Ensure technical success and drawing quality
Work with the Specifications Team to create project manuals
Review RFIs and submittals for consistency with project drawings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Architecture License
10+ years of experience in the field of Architecture
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Well versed in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Thorough knowledge of building codes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents
