About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver innovative design projects to diverse clients through all phases
- Lead internal and external teams
- Maintain financial responsibility for projects by adhering to budgets and workplans
- Oversee development of contract documents
- Serve as the primary client contact
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate project phases
- Prepare project schedules
- Discuss project health administratively and technically with the operations leader
- Escalate changing project conditions to office leadership
- Maintain and update project planners for weekly staffing meetings
- Issue and obtain approval for additional services
- Utilize resource groups for design and construction documents
- Provide construction services, including site visits and shop drawing reviews
- Coordinate with contracts, accounting, QC, peer reviewers, Project Architects, consultants, and studio leadership
- Represent Ware Malcomb at jurisdiction public design review or development approval meetings and project presentations
- Assemble consultant teams, identify scopes, collect fees, select consultants, and facilitate contracts
- Mentor junior project members
- Assist with proposals, consultant coordination, marketing, and client development
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in the field of Architecture
- Diverse commercial experience including Industrial, office, and/or retail project experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- AutoCAD and Revit skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Newforma
- Thorough knowledge of building codes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents
