About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and deliver accounts from planning through execution
- Provide oversight and mentorship to multiple direct reports
- Communicate vision and lead teams toward program goals
- Collaborate across account teams to ensure flawless project delivery against client objectives and budgets
- Define account-team structure, roles, and responsibilities based on project needs
- Ensure contracts, revenue reporting, team-management processes, and budgets meet specified timelines
- Build and maintain effective client relationships and address client needs promptly
- Manage complex challenges and push back when necessary to achieve desired outcomes
- Oversee development, management, and reconciliation of budgets exceeding $1M
- Ensure quality control of day-to-day outputs and client deliverables
- Communicate with agency and client teams regarding roles, responsibilities, budgets, schedules, and project status
- Oversee supplier, inter-agency, and third-party relationships throughout projects
- Develop deep knowledge of clients’ businesses and communicate expectations to account teams
- Support broader business vision, growth, and development efforts for THE·TEAM Hospitality
- Create a positive, collaborative teamwork environment
- Coach, develop, and train account-team members
- Establish project-management best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience as an event planner or organizer in high-end hosting or hospitality, with proven portfolio of supporting work
- Previous experience managing multiple direct reports and dynamic workstreams
- Agency experience preferred
- Hospitality certification and/or service industry experience preferred
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize workload
- Ability to present and communicate with senior clients
- Ability to craft complex, nuanced written communications
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to navigate tough issues and influence stakeholders toward desired outcomes
- Ability to foresee developing issues and communicate solutions
- Demonstrated deep understanding of the hospitality landscape
- Global travel and luxury knowledge is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Exceptional client service skills
- Ability to build and foster vendor/partner relationships
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently
- High level of initiative and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Genuine passion and curiosity for hospitality, events, and premium hosting
- Interest in and informed knowledge of the sports and entertainment industries
- Ability to travel and work on-site approximately 25% of the year, including multi-day, weekend, and short-notice travel across the US and globally
