About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a portfolio of institutional funding partners and prospects as primary relationship manager
  • Develop and maintain the institutional funding pipeline through prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, and stewardship
  • Coordinate grant proposal development across departments
  • Contribute to donor engagement strategies and stewardship plans
  • Maintain accurate information on grant opportunities, commitments, and expected revenue for forecasting and planning
  • Conduct donor and prospect research to identify partnership opportunities
  • Review grant reports and support compliance with donor requirements
  • Collaborate with program, finance, leadership, communications, and technical teams on proposals, agreements, evidence, learning, and impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with peer organizations, research institutions, foundations, and sector networks
  • Represent Water for Good at WASH sector events, webinars, conferences, and collaborative initiatives
  • Support strategic partnerships advancing programmatic and fundraising objectives
  • Contribute to publications, presentations, blogs, external content, and thought leadership
  • Assist with presentations and materials for sector events and donor engagements
  • Promote dissemination of research, learning, and best practices
  • Contribute to knowledge management and organizational learning initiatives
  • Support grants management and partnership development process improvements
  • Participate in organizational planning, fundraising discussions, and departmental initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members or interns as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience managing institutional funding partners and prospects
  • Experience coordinating grant proposal development and grant management processes
  • Experience conducting donor and prospect research
  • Experience with donor engagement, stewardship, and relationship management
  • Ability to collaborate with program, finance, communications, leadership, and technical teams
  • Ability to represent the organization in WASH sector events, webinars, conferences, and collaborative initiatives
  • Ability to maintain grant and donor information in CRM and project management systems
  • Ability to contribute to publications, presentations, blogs, and other external content
  • Ability to support compliance with donor requirements throughout the grant lifecycle
  • Ability to mentor junior team members or interns as assigned
  • Willingness to travel up to 6 weeks per year
