About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute strategic regional sales plans aligned with operating plan objectives, growth initiatives, and market opportunities
  • Achieve or exceed revenue, growth, margin, specification, and territory performance goals
  • Lead and influence independent manufacturer's representative agencies
  • Establish performance expectations and conduct regular business reviews with representative agencies
  • Build relationships with engineering firms, end users, contractors, OEMs, wholesale distributors, consulting engineers, and industry stakeholders
  • Drive specifications and basis-of-design positioning for Watts solutions
  • Identify, qualify, track, and advance project opportunities through award
  • Develop territory growth strategies and improve competitive positioning
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competition, pricing pressures, and opportunities
  • Provide forecasting, pipeline analysis, business updates, and strategic recommendations to sales leadership
  • Use CRM platforms and reporting tools to maintain pipelines, account plans, forecasts, and territory activity
  • Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Pricing, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Technical Support
  • Communicate customer and market intelligence to influence business strategy and product direction
  • Support product introductions, commercialization, pricing programs, launches, and demand-generation activities
  • Represent Watts at conferences, trade shows, customer events, seminars, and professional association meetings
  • Deliver product and application training to agencies, distributors, engineers, contractors, and customers
  • Resolve customer concerns, channel conflicts, and project challenges
  • Travel approximately 50%–70% throughout the assigned territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Systems, Plumbing Technology, or related discipline; equivalent industry experience may be considered
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive technical sales, specification sales, business development, or channel management experience
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth through representative agencies, engineering influence, wholesale distribution, and project-based sales
  • Experience developing and executing territory business plans and managing complex sales pipelines
  • Strong understanding of industrial processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, plumbing, flow control, or related technical markets
  • Proven ability to influence engineers, consulting firms, contractors, distributors, and strategic decision-makers
  • Strong forecasting, financial acumen, opportunity management, and territory planning capabilities
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Ability to operate independently while influencing multiple stakeholders across a matrixed organization
  • Travel between 50–70%
