About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete repairs and maintenance at assigned stores and identify further recommended actions
Perform carpentry, minor plumbing, painting, drywall, tiling, light bulb, countertop, cabinet, installation, replacement, and maintenance tasks
Complete repairs within priority-code timeframes for approximately 10 to 15 primary assigned stores and additional stores as business needs dictate
Replace fuel pump nozzles and hoses when applicable in Florida
Visit assigned stores on a scheduled basis to maintain equipment and store condition
Perform monthly beverage equipment and semiannual HVAC and refrigeration preventive maintenance
Plan efficient and cost-effective daily routes
Prepare and coordinate stores for remodels, openings, and project work
Support Public Relations during opening celebrations
Maintain the asset tagging system, including audits, asset transfers, and setup in new or remodeled stores
Maintain and report paperwork and electronic communications, including invoicing and payroll documents
Notify the Lead Technician when internal or external service providers do not meet company standards
Perform other duties requested by the Lead Technician based on business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must maintain a valid driver’s license and car insurance
Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision
Ability to occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 72 lbs
Ability to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 40 lbs
Ability to climb and perform various functions on a ladder at a height of approximately 30 feet
Ability to perform repetitive physical actions for long periods, including standing, crouching, bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping firmly
Requires extensive travel, 5 days per week, including evening and weekend hours
Ability to successfully complete the Technician 20 skills test
Obtain training certifications as required
High School diploma or GED, preferred
3+ years of experience as a General Craftsman
Must reside in the Manatee or Sarasota County
