About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer holdings and market data in proprietary software systems to produce risk reporting
  • Record and escalate breaches according to procedure and maintain accurate company logs
  • Maintain and update documentation and backups for operational processes
  • Monitor risk exposure across an assigned portfolio of funds, handle client queries, and develop expertise in investment strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues across locations and time zones
  • Use Bloomberg and Microsoft Office
  • Participate in user acceptance testing of proprietary software and improve team processes
  • Support clients through timely and accurate risk reporting, resolving and escalating issues appropriately
  • Maintain and develop relationships with a portfolio of clients
  • Manage client document review and quality control, including 24-hour communication turnaround and Salesforce updates
  • Evaluate and prioritize situations based on risk and time requirements
  • Maintain understanding of client operational risk and company policies and procedures
  • Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes and assist with operational risk and compliance projects
  • Manage Document Execution Form workflows for board resolutions, agreements, and transaction documentation
  • Attend Portfolio Management and Oversight calls and help prepare PM&O reports
  • Support onboarding of new engagements and clients across product lines
  • Liaise professionally with fund service providers and provide excellent customer service
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities for Waystone products
  • Maintain entity status, regulatory, and service-provider information in Salesforce
  • Monitor accounts receivable for the client portfolio and escalate issues when necessary
  • Arrange calls for Directors and compile meeting materials
  • Provide coverage notes and complete out-of-office checklists
  • Manage and present tracking schedules at team meetings
  • Assist with the Economic Substance annual compliance cycle, including preparation, review, and submission of filings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of relevant financial services experience in Fund Administration, Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Auditing
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification financial services experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/business/accounting or similar internationally recognized professional qualification
  • Knowledge of investment funds, portfolio valuation, and fund administrators’ reporting packs
  • Experience using Bloomberg to assess fund liquidity, average traded volume, and risk-based metrics
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong time management, organizational, oral/written communication, critical thinking, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while reporting and supporting various team members
  • Strong working knowledge of hedge fund documentation and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to maintain high levels of discretion and confidentiality
  • Experience onboarding new clients efficiently
  • Highly adaptable with impeccable oral and written communication skills across all disciplines
  • Ability and willingness to take on additional duties as required
