About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyse, redesign, and enable operational processes for intelligent automation, AI-assisted workflows, and straight-through processing
- Support governance, risk control, and human accountability in process and AI solutions
- Use generative AI to accelerate analysis and documentation
- Build wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes for stakeholder validation before development
- Apply structured problem solving, business analysis, data analytics, design thinking, and lean process improvement
- Elicit business requirements and produce factual cost-benefit analyses and strategic business cases for executive consideration
- Facilitate business interviews and workshops with stakeholders
- Analyse and map end-to-end operational processes to identify automation and AI opportunities
- Redesign processes to separate deterministic steps, AI-enabled interpretation, and human judgment points
- Validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, bias, and confidentiality
- Identify and document AI use cases, including requirements, data inputs, acceptance criteria, evaluation measures, and human-in-the-loop controls
- Create business, functional, non-functional, and operating model requirements
- Support solution design, build, testing, business readiness, and training
- Manage and coordinate multiple phases of small-to-moderate projects from business case through transition to BAU
- Track schedules, manage stakeholder involvement, and identify and mitigate risks
- Support Rapid Deployment Pods through discovery, prototyping, testing, and implementation
- Promote responsible AI use, build AI literacy, and lead training, digital adoption, and competency building
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant Business Analyst experience, ideally within the funds industry (preferred) or broader financial services industry, in highly regulated environments
- Expertise in business analysis methodologies and emerging technologies
- Proven track record in digital, automation, or operational transformation initiatives
- Excellent process mapping skills and experience with MS Visio
- Working understanding of AI concepts and limitations, including large language models, AI agents, hallucination risk, responsible AI, data privacy, and governance in regulated environments
- Ability to create wireframes, mock-ups, and clickable prototypes using Figma, Balsamiq, Miro, PowerPoint, or AI-assisted prototyping tools
- Understanding of user-centred design and UX principles
- Experience with low-code/no-code automation and orchestration platforms such as Power Automate and n8n
- Ability to support quality assurance through test planning, creation, and execution
- Advanced data analytical skills and outstanding problem-solving capabilities
- Hands-on experience with M365 Copilot and generative AI tools, including prompt design
- Deep knowledge of core business operations, strategy, operating model design, lean process improvement, and waterfall and agile digital transformation and delivery
- Professional integrity and adherence to legal, regulatory, and in-house policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for senior management and end-user audiences
- Certified in Business Analysis, or equivalent
- Certified in Six Sigma, or equivalent
