About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide a data-driven governance framework supporting Waystone Management senior management and the WMUK board with regulatory product governance responsibilities
- Direct and control elements of the WMUK product governance framework, including the Value Assessment Framework and annual fund reviews
- Coordinate WMUK product lifecycle activities and ensure downstream data collection and execution meet expected standards
- Lead the operation of the ACD’s governance forums and committees
- Chair certain committees where required
- Participate actively in the Operational Governance Committee and Value Assessment Committee
- Liaise with Compliance representatives to support compliance with FCA and other applicable regulations
- Manage relevant processes, policies, and procedures
- Partner with senior managers, Product Development, Compliance, Investment Risk, Enterprise Risk, Oversight Teams, and other Waystone Group stakeholders
- Assist with the design and launch of new products
- Identify efficiency improvements across product governance oversight tasks and improve team effectiveness
- Liaise with external stakeholders including the FCA, depositaries, external legal firms, and delegated investment managers
- Support product governance queries throughout the product lifecycle
- Embed relevant product governance framework elements into business-as-usual activities
- Work with ACD and RFS management and other personnel on operational matters and special projects as directed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Thorough understanding of the ACD business
- Strong partnerships across the Waystone Group
- Experience conducting Value Assessment reviews and producing Value Assessment statements
- Strong product governance, management, or development experience in asset management
- Significant relevant industry experience
- Supervisory or management experience
- Knowledge of Product Governance regulatory requirements and best practice
- Strong understanding of investment products
- Proven knowledge of the regulatory environment and authorised funds, including UCITS, AIFMD, COBS, COLL, and PROD
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory best practice
- Ability to prioritize effectively while considering time, resources, and quality constraints
- Ability to deliver complex messages to a wide variety of audiences
- Focus on continuous improvement and high standards
