About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with management of ongoing and large-scale operational risk deliverables within Waystone Management Company’s AIFM and UCITS Management Company business
- Oversee Waystone’s distribution delegates and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
- Support the Irish team with existing, new and potential mandates and broader European operations
- Complete initial due diligence reviews for onboarding distribution delegates
- Coordinate with the Distribution Oversight team and internal teams to obtain required documentation and update trackers
- Complete annual due diligence reviews for existing active distribution delegates
- Review and oversee delegate marketing material and monthly target reviews
- Maintain team inventories and process planners with accurate, up-to-date distributor data and records
- Record new global registration records, including passporting and marketing notifications
- Provide advice, guidance and support across the business on operational risks
- Ensure Fund Board reports contain accurate and current Distribution information
- Assist with internal and regulatory projects
- Communicate with distributor delegates regarding queries and fund distribution information
- Escalate issues to the DP for Distribution or in accordance with Board-approved procedures
- Ensure effective investor complaints handling procedures are in place
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and improve team methods and processes
- Organize and participate in meetings, lead training sessions and attend technical training
- Identify technology challenges, inefficiencies and solutions with business unit managers and staff
- Lead and participate in team projects and assist with staff training and development
- Write specifications for product development and maintain detailed knowledge of Waystone operations and regulatory implications
Requirements
What you’ll need- An internationally recognised 3rd level degree
- Previous experience in a 3rd party management company role
- Ability to complete comprehensive and accurate initial due diligence reviews for onboarding distribution delegates
- Ability to complete comprehensive and accurate annual due diligence reviews for active distribution delegates
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and operational risk monitoring
- Ability to review delegate marketing material and assess observations using independent regulatory judgement
- Ability to maintain distributor data, records, inventories and process planners accurately
- Knowledge of global registrations, including passporting and marketing notifications
- Ability to identify, assess, manage and measure operational risks in accordance with relevant regulatory policies
- Ability to keep abreast of regulatory changes
- Ability to organize and participate in meetings and prepare and lead training sessions
- Ability to write specifications for product development
- Detailed knowledge of Waystone operations and their regulatory implications
