About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver job-related German lessons with a focus on warehousing and logistics
  • Address language used in typical workplace and vocational school situations, such as goods receiving, storage, order picking, shipping, occupational safety, and workplace communication
  • Teach and clearly explain technical language, work instructions, and occupation-specific terminology
  • Identify and specifically address language challenges arising at vocational school and in the training company
  • Develop apprentices’ language and professional competencies for everyday workplace and vocational school situations
  • Support preparation for intermediate and final apprenticeship examinations; no preparation for language examinations
  • Independently plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in accordance with the BAMF concept for German courses for apprentices (Azubi-BSK)
  • Use suitable, modern, and practice-oriented teaching methods

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualification in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) or German as a Second Language (DaZ)
  • Additional qualification for job-related German courses (ZQ BSK)
  • Enjoyment of working with apprentices and an interest in their linguistic and professional development
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with warehousing and logistics
  • Reliable and dependable personality with the ability to lead learning groups confidently and in a goal-oriented manner
  • Willingness to work regularly on site in Oschersleben
  • Experience teaching job-related or technical German is desirable, ideally in warehousing and logistics
  • Experience with apprenticeship-related German courses, vocational schools, or teaching people with a migration background is desirable
  • Confident use of digital teaching media
  • Empathy, commitment, and enthusiasm for supporting young people during their apprenticeships
  • Category B driver’s license and personal mobility, or good access to public transportation
  • The learning group consists predominantly of Vietnamese apprentices
