About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage existing client relationships to WEG’s planning-based standard
  • Facilitate the financial planning process
  • Discover prospects’ or clients’ values, goals and objectives
  • Understand clients’ current financial situations
  • Engage clients in the financial planning process
  • Prepare and conduct annual reviews covering planning and investment topics
  • Ensure ongoing client support and communication
  • Source and close prospects
  • Follow up proactively with clients who have not implemented financial plans
  • Close leads from Marketing, CRP, and other WEG channels
  • Create opportunities within personal networks
  • Drive referrals from existing clients
  • Mentor and train team members in financial planning and client service
  • Educate others on the Wealth Enhancement Group planning process and financial planning matters
  • Participate in WEG trainings, educational events, coaching programs, and advisor/client-facing technology initiatives
  • Adhere to WEG’s Corporate Communication Strategy and maintain good compliance standing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Requires a 4-year degree; business, finance, economics preferred
  • Advanced designation required (CFP, CPA, MBA, etc.)
  • Series 7, 66 (BD/RIA)
  • Series 65 (RIA Only)
  • Insurance Licenses
  • Substantial experience within the wealth management industry
  • Ability to source and convert prospects to clients and provide high-level planning-oriented service
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral & written)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Engagement in WEG, broader community and active participation in financial planning community
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, file documents in high or low cabinets, use the telephone and use computer systems
