About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive design for Wealthfront’s Investing products, reporting to the Design Director for Self-Directed Investing
Create structure and drive outcomes for high-ambiguity, high-complexity work
Organize and drive design sprints, uplevel strategy and craft, and deliver world-class designs
Serve as the go-to designer for investing initiatives
Use rapid prototyping and broad design exploration to accelerate strategic decision-making
Partner with Wealthfront leaders to identify and pursue impactful ideas
Lead design-team-wide initiatives and strengthen an inclusive team culture
Define new patterns and processes to mature the design team
Partner with product management, engineering, research, data science, legal, compliance, and other designers
Identify, prioritize, and ship high-impact opportunities across Investing products and Wealthfront

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of product design experience in a consumer software company
Experience working in consumer tech companies shipping exceptional quality products in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally to senior leaders and executives
Ability to manage multiple projects across teams and navigate ambiguity
Ability to think strategically and shape the overall user experience
Proven track record setting a vision for customer experiences, translating vision into a roadmap, and ensuring high-quality delivery
Experience with user experience methods, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-framing skills, and design principles
Passion for investing or experience building consumer financial technology products highly desirable
Modern fintech product experience is a bonus
