About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, maintain, and improve the cloud infrastructure powering Weave's services
  • Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Automate day-to-day infrastructure work
  • Design and implement highly available and scalable systems
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of Weave's infrastructure
  • Build and evolve tools and standards for automation, scaling, monitoring, and alerting
  • Collaborate with product teams to resolve production issues, improve monitoring, and leverage cloud services
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation
  • Report to the Engineering Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficiency with at least one cloud platform is required
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Salt, Ansible, and Terraform
  • Experience writing automation using Go, Python, etc.
  • Experience designing highly available and scalable systems
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues systematically
  • Passion for Infrastructure as Code
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster design, deployment, and ongoing management for large-scale applications
  • Experience with advanced GCP services and architectures
  • Experience managing infrastructure and applications using IaC, GitOps, and ArgoCD
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide valid Form I-9 documentation
