About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review margin calls from brokers, investigate discrepancies, and issue wires to meet margin and collateral needs
  • Monitor and manage collateral requirements, including balance supervision and collateral selection
  • Perform daily control reconciliations covering holdings, futures trades, collateral, and currency balances across internal accounting systems, clearing brokers, custodians, and clearing houses
  • Support day-to-day broker relationships through issue resolution, inquiries, escalation, and operational review meetings
  • Respond to queries and issues from clients, custodians, accounting agents, brokers, portfolio managers, trading, and other internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve front-to-back efficiency and strengthen control processes
  • Assist in implementing operational changes
  • Maintain accurate documentation, procedures, and high-quality outputs as a steward of risk and controls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
  • 2+ years of experience in investment operations
  • Exchange-traded and cleared derivatives experience preferred
  • Knowledge of collateral, margin, or other post-trade operational processes is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and escalate issues appropriately
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate initiative in identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with Python, SQL, or other data analysis tools is a plus
