About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Doorway, Assertive Outreach, and Mental Health and Homelessness services
  • Lead housing and homelessness services across metropolitan and regional Victoria
  • Support Team Leaders and frontline teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred services
  • Help people secure and maintain stable housing, strengthen connections, and work toward greater independence and wellbeing
  • Build trusted relationships with health services, community organisations, housing providers, and funders
  • Strengthen local partnerships and create clearer pathways for participants
  • Provide practice leadership and deliver Housing First training
  • Build capability and strengthen consistency of housing practice across Wellways
  • Balance operational priorities with quality and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary qualification in health, human services, social sciences or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • Current driver licence and willingness to travel regularly between allocated service locations as required
  • Demonstrated experience leading community, health or human services
  • Experience leading teams and supporting workforce capability
  • Demonstrated commitment to participant-centred, recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice
  • Satisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to undertake
  • NDIS Workers Orientation module completion certificate
  • Understanding of recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and person-centred practice
  • Experience in housing, homelessness, mental health, Housing First or leading teams across different locations highly regarded
  • Experienced leadership background in health, community or human services
