About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the delivery and performance of Connected Care’s statewide mental health service across Tasmania
  • Lead Clinical Team Leaders and a geographically dispersed multidisciplinary workforce
  • Strengthen clinical practice and ensure consistent practice standards
  • Oversee service delivery, workforce performance, financial management and service performance
  • Provide clinical leadership and expert oversight for complex clinical presentations, risk management and clinical governance
  • Foster clinical excellence, reflective practice, continuous learning and continuous improvement
  • Support workforce capability, development and performance
  • Maintain quality and clinical governance processes
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with consortium partners, service providers and internal support functions
  • Support coordinated pathways across health and community services
  • Ensure services are delivered safely and effectively
  • Maintain regular physical presence across Connected Care locations and travel across Tasmania

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and current registration or accreditation at the level required for that discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in senior leadership and management within a mental health or community services environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting workforce capability and performance
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex service delivery across multiple locations
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Valid Driver Licence and willingness to travel across Tasmania
  • Satisfactory National Police Record Check
  • International Police Check, if applicable
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration/Check and NDIS Workers Screening check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – Quality, Safety and You
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside normal business hours and participate in an on-call roster
