Key responsibilities & impact

Localize, translate and adapt multimedia, legal, technical and marketing content while adhering to style guides and guidelines
Write new copy for music, TV, App Store, video-on-demand and game subscription products
Perform regular linguistic reviews of personal work and localization team members’ work
Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy
Perform Localization QA testing on content published on live platforms
Conduct market-specific research on local content treatment, product and terminology trends, and localization best practices
Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics
Report on data and assets across media and content types
Review linguistic assessments and create training materials and documents for new projects
Train localization counterparts on terminology, style and best practices
Collaborate with the global language team through virtual meetings and email on content review, terminology, style, trends, market insights and translations

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/BA and 2+ years of work experience in the field of journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, TV and applications with proof of writing samples
Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content
Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies from a massive sea of content and make sound judgement calls based on information at hand
Wide range of knowledge of music artists, TV and cinema, gaming and pop culture
Ability to own language market and make confident linguistic decisions
Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
Fluency in written and verbal English
Strong computer literacy; knowledge of iOS/macOS systems is a plus
Well capable of typing in their native-level language using a local (English) keyboard
Ability to work independently and remotely
Collaborative; enjoys teamwork in a multicultural environment
