About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review and refine Slovak localized content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, and cultural or contextual accuracy
Execute product test cases and identify localization and functional bugs
Write and report bugs and errors through internal and client-specific bug-tracking systems
Verify that implemented fixes have been resolved correctly
Translate content from English into Slovak when needed
Explore user interfaces to identify localization or functional issues
Evaluate translations in software, mobile apps, and documentation
Serve as a subject matter expert for Slovak linguistic issues and resolve linguistic questions
Follow project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries
Troubleshoot basic problems, communicate effectively, and escalate testing issues
Complete assigned tasks accurately, on time, and to quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Native-level Slovak fluency and cultural awareness of Slovak and Slovakia
Good oral and written communication
Strong organization and attention to detail
Commitment to quality
Ability to understand and prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently
Ability to accurately follow testing instructions and test cases
Ability to use client-specific bug-tracking tools
Ability to evaluate translations in software, mobile apps, and documentation
Ability to research and resolve linguistic questions in Slovak
Ability to adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries
Ability to troubleshoot basic problems, communicate effectively, and escalate testing issues
Background in marketing, journalism, copy editing, proofreading, writing, translation, and/or localization is ideal
