About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and mentor the B2C Driver team responsible for Wemolo’s consumer parking product
Stay connected to the codebase and architecture through hands-on work in Python, React, TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS Lambda
Support the team in making sound technical decisions
Own planning and delivery across backend and frontend work, with a focus on quality
Implement and refine development, code review, and deployment best practices
Work with Product and Customer Success to turn driver feedback into product improvements
Coach team members and support their skills development
Shape engineering culture and ways of working

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years leading engineers (team lead, tech lead, or early-stage manager)
Strong knowledge of Python and Postgres
Strong knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure
Proven ability to deliver complex software projects in a client- or customer-facing team
Genuine interest in user experience and close collaboration with product and design
Passion for helping engineers grow and perform at their best
Ability to balance technical excellence with product and business priorities
Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Fluent in English; German is a plus
Startup or scale-up experience is an advantage
Experience with AWS serverless architectures is an advantage
Data-driven decision-making experience is an advantage
Familiarity with Agile, OKRs, and modern engineering processes is an advantage
