Assistant Vice President – Portfolio Manager
Western Alliance Bank. Analyze, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of large corporate loans and structured products ($25mm+) .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of large corporate loans and structured products ($25mm+)
- Work with Directors and MDs to ensure credit risks are monitored and identified
- Gather and analyze information for presentation with Originators to Senior Management or Loan Committee for approval
- Analyze portfolio investment performance and make buy/hold/sell recommendations
- Prepare portfolio scorecards and recommend marks on collateral
- Coordinate processing of approved loans according to agreements, customer needs, and Bank lending policies
- Assist in solving problems in the portfolio
- Handle underwriting, portfolio management, and portfolio upkeep tasks related to new loan requests and/or the portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Fixed Income investing
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring
- Credit analyst training completed
- Advanced speaking, Excel, and writing communication skills
- Progress toward or completion of CFA
