About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell industry-leading pest management services and products to new and existing commercial customers
  • Maintain customer-focused service to grow the business
  • Call on hospitality, food and beverage processing, healthcare, retail, and other market segments
  • Complete comprehensive training on pest management services and products
  • Inspect and identify infestations or potential infestations involving organisms, insects, birds, and other pests
  • Create new business through cold calling, prospecting, networking, leads, referrals, and cross-selling
  • Visually inspect commercial buildings for pests, harborage, and entry points
  • Sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance based on inspection findings
  • Develop territory strategies to exceed sales targets
  • Maintain knowledge of programs, protocols, pricing policies, and service offerings
  • Collaborate with internal departments to maximize growth and deliver service solutions
  • Complete daily activities and sales performance tracking in the company sales CRM

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license from your current state of residence
  • Strong social, customer service, and communication skills
  • Preferred two years of experience in Business to Business sales
  • Prospecting skills, including cold calling, lead generation, and networking preferred
  • Self-motivated with a hunter’s mentality and ability to work independently
  • Must obtain required industry licenses; licenses are provided and paid for by the company
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time within assigned territory(s)
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or reposition up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and narrow or slippery surfaces
  • Comfort working with spiders, flies, mosquitoes, rodents, and other pests
  • Ability to enter small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain a motor vehicle and equipment
  • Ability to use OSHA-compliant respiratory PPE and work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
