About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
  • Inspect client properties for pest infestations, damage, and entry points
  • Identify pest types and apply approved chemicals, baits, and traps
  • Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestation risks
  • Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
  • Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
  • Maintain, stock, and inspect pest control equipment
  • Follow local, state, and federal pest control and safety regulations
  • Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
  • Work in customers’ residences, properties, and places of business, often unsupervised
  • Handle company and customer records, regulated chemicals, financial quotes, and company equipment
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes in a non-violent and non-disruptive manner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
  • Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
  • Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills, including following instructions for mixing products according to product labels
  • Clean-shaven face required for respirator seal
  • Customer-facing experience preferred
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and around animals, insects, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
  • Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
  • Ability to perform physical activities including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
