About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development and execution of enterprise sourcing and category strategies across approximately $900 million in annual third-party spend
- Deliver measurable financial, operational, risk-management, and supplier-performance outcomes
- Lead and develop a high-performing sourcing team
- Advise senior leaders on complex commercial decisions
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Operations, and business-unit stakeholders
- Apply external market intelligence, category management, negotiation, and supplier governance to improve total cost of ownership, manage third-party risk, accelerate innovation, and preserve contract-lifecycle value
- Analyze business needs and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing efficiencies
- Drive proposal processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiations
- Oversee procurement activities across multiple categories
- Negotiate business and contract terms
- Maintain expertise in specified commodities and track profitability
- Mentor the sourcing team and support employee development and succession planning
- Foster continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability
- Solicit new business opportunities and partnerships
- Build and maintain supplier and stakeholder relationships
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure alignment with company standards
- Facilitate cross-functional communication, resolve issues, drive consensus, and support organizational objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in general business, financial, accounting, or related disciplines
- 7+ years of leadership experience in procurement and contract negotiation in a strategic sourcing or procurement function
- Analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex vendor relationships
- Success in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and influencing without authority across diverse teams
- Track record of building trust and fostering collaboration at all organizational levels
- Preferred: experience in a global, regulated, financial-services, payments, or technology-intensive environment
