Key responsibilities & impact

Propose designs, test, code, and instrument new solutions with minimal support
Implement features based on team-reviewed designs and architectural patterns
Mentor junior engineers and new team members
Monitor, measure, and inspect operational and quality metrics
Identify opportunities to improve service performance and system health
Support production solutions through proactive monitoring and rapid incident response
Analyze systems to identify bottlenecks
Apply team processes and best practices independently and provide feedback
Learn new technologies and share findings with the team
Review work with senior team members to ensure readable, maintainable code and comprehensive test coverage
Strengthen engineering processes using TDD, BDD, Microservice Architecture, and Vertical Slice Architecture
Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency and code quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; OR demonstrable equivalent experience
At least 2 years of work experience in software engineering
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Passion for keeping up with modern technologies and design
Experience building and consuming REST APIs
C# and Python (if applicable)
Understanding of applied OOP, SOLID, and design principles
Strong aptitude for integrating AI/ML-driven development workflows into the daily Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions
Knowledge of RESTful API design and Kafka/event-driven design
Experience with modern RDBMS (e.g., MS SQL, Postgres) and NoSQL databases
