Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and deploy multi-agent workflows within AWS Agent Core
  • Drive internal AI education and coaching initiatives
  • Collaborate with external AI partners on agentic opportunities
  • Design, build, and own complete services and cross-platform integrations
  • Define data orchestration strategies and make architecture trade-off decisions
  • Build resilient, secure, testable, and maintainable systems
  • Design reliable, cost-aware cloud infrastructure and failover strategies
  • Own automated deployment packages and metadata frameworks across sandbox tiers
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines
  • Resolve complex bugs and permanently address root causes
  • Own service incidents during outages
  • Create triage runbooks and playbooks for Tier 1/2 helpdesk teams and junior analysts
  • Own non-functional requirements in partnership with Product Managers
  • Prioritize backlogs and negotiate scope, technical debt, and refactoring
  • Conduct empathetic code reviews and mentor SDE 1s and SDE 2s
  • Facilitate data-driven engineering discussions and lead knowledge-sharing sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Senior technical leadership designing complete services and solving complex integration problems
  • Experience designing and deploying multi-agent workflows within AWS Agent Core
  • Experience with state management, memory persistence, and complex tool interactions
  • Experience with AI-powered software and agentic integrations, including Google Gemini, AWS Agent Core, and Claude
  • Ability to own entire services and cross-platform integrations end to end
  • Ability to make data orchestration trade-off decisions, including MCP/API and Agents/Skills
  • Experience implementing retries, circuit breakers, and fallbacks
  • Knowledge of security flaws and authentication standards such as OAuth scopes
  • Experience designing reliable cloud infrastructure, including auto-scaling groups and failover strategies
  • Experience with automated deployment packages, metadata frameworks, scripts, and automation manifests
  • CI/CD pipeline optimization experience
  • Ability to resolve intermittent issues, race conditions, memory leaks, and complex bugs
  • Incident leadership and creation of triage runbooks and playbooks
  • Ability to own non-functional requirements including performance, security, and scalability
  • Ability to negotiate technical debt, refactoring, must-haves, and nice-to-haves
  • Strong code review, mentoring, consensus-building, continuous learning, and context-switching abilities
