About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Spearhead the design, optimization, and strategic planning of enterprise-level distribution center operations
- Lead the design and optimization of distribution center layouts to improve space utilization, safety, and scalability
- Collaborate with Real Estate, IT, Supply Chain, Construction, and Material Handling vendors
- Develop and evaluate data-driven solutions for slotting, capacity planning, and material flow using simulation and optimization tools
- Build and present business cases with cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments, and performance metrics
- Manage project lifecycles from requirements gathering through implementation
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement
- Research and apply industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Use advanced analytics and visualization tools to communicate insights and support strategic planning
- Partner across departments to foster teamwork, transparency, and shared accountability

Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline; alternatively, MS/MA with generally 5+ years of experience in a related field
- Generally, 8+ years of experience in a related field with BS/BA
- Certification is required in some areas
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain or related field
- Proficiency in layout and design tools: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar CAD software
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
- Advanced Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis and automation is a plus
- On-site when not traveling
