About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate rebar detailing and project coordination for rebar fabrication jobs
- Supervise workload and training for the rebar detailing team
- Ensure drawings meet engineering requirements
- Supervise customer projects, report performance issues, and create work schedules
- Train entry-level Detailers in manual and computer-aided structural rebar detailing
- Generate accurate placement drawings for submittal and field reinforcing placement
- Communicate with customers and the Fabrication Manager about scheduling expectations
- Clarify missing or unclear reinforcing requirements with customers and/or Designers
- Gather project details from customers and schedule work with the rebar shop
- Review plans and specify how rebar should be bent, cut, and sized
- Lead a group or team of support, craft, or lower-level professional associates
- Ensure work is performed consistently with company policies and procedures
- Travel overnight less than 5% of the time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline
- Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field
- May require certification
- Preferred: 10 years detailing experience
- Preferred: Rebar detailing experience
