About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system
- Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Record supplier invoices and assist with supplier payment processing
- Record customer payments and monitor receivable balances
- Reconcile store sales with POS reports and system records
- Review store cash deposits and investigate discrepancies
- Record inventory transactions and adjustments
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records
- Support stock count procedures and investigate inventory variances
- Calculate and allocate landed costs to inventory
- Perform regular bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly financial closing activities
- Support preparation of financial schedules and reports in accordance with IFRS principles
- Review payroll records and verify payroll entries
- Maintain VAT documentation and assist in preparing VAT reports in compliance with ZATCA regulations
- Review expense claims for completeness and compliance
- Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and store teams regarding financial matters
- Support improvements in accounting procedures and internal controls
- Perform other accounting-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience using Odoo ERP or similar accounting systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting principles
