About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare SCA monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc performance reports
- Generate and distribute monthly communications and deadline reminders
- Identify journals with active SI programs lacking current-quarter submissions or acceptances and follow up with SCA leads
- Configure and organize SI submission reports
- Maintain data quality in Curate and other relevant systems
- Track and report on cross-journal collections
- Arrange team meetings, new-hire training, and team-building sessions
- Coordinate transfers, contact updates, and system access requests
- Maintain the SCA Teams channel and SharePoint sites
- Update the team organizational chart and track engagement activities
- Support project timeline, status, and deliverable tracking
- Assist with project coordination, active-project tracking, and time allocation
- Monitor workflows and suggest efficiency improvements
- Support Content Acquisition/Development Specialists and Managers and Editor Experience Managers
- Analyze published SI performance at subject and portfolio levels
- Support editor recruitment through data analysis and candidate identification
- Follow up with internal teams on routine tasks
- Provide interim cover for tasks such as launching SIs, preparing author lists, and updating SI numbers
- Collaborate with Editor Experience Managers on editor recruitment services
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a bachelor’s degree
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Good data analysis skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Aptitude for learning in-house company systems and AI tools
- Understanding of office procedures
- Professional, mature, and decisive approach
- Ability to work under pressure with a strong focus on team support
- Excellent communication skills in a global environment
- Previous publishing or administrative experience preferred but not necessary
