Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and conduct studies to evaluate student efficacy with AI tools
  • Lead and conduct research on student learning using zyBooks across Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Engineering, AI, Math and Statistics
  • Publish research results at high-quality conferences and journals
  • Use data analytics to improve zyBooks content and platform by assessing learning outcomes and reducing unnecessary student struggle
  • Collaborate with instructors to design, conduct, and publish research studies
  • Collaborate with authors, engineers, and instructors on studies for new and existing products or significant platform features
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop early proofs of concept for tools that improve student learning
  • Create and maintain documentation and quarterly research reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • PhD in STEM education fields
  • Strong background in qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research
  • Demonstrated record of research papers
  • Strong understanding of pedagogies relevant to STEM education
  • SQL experience
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to innovation in teaching at the undergraduate levels
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Resume/CV required for application
  • PhD in CS or CS education preferred
  • Experience with AI strongly preferred
  • Teaching experience strongly preferred
