About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop the Enterprise Data Platform domain team
  • Set priorities, strengthen product management capabilities, and establish effective ways of working across business and technology teams
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to translate strategic objectives and operational needs into data and technology requirements
  • Own and evolve the Enterprise Data Platform roadmap
  • Balance strategic priorities with platform health, risk, capacity, and long-term business value
  • Lead transparent prioritisation and make trade-offs on capabilities to build, improve, reuse, modernise, defer, or retire
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, infrastructure, governance, and delivery teams on practical, scalable solutions
  • Drive adoption of data products and platform capabilities
  • Ensure measurable value from trusted, governed, and reusable data
  • Promote consistent data definitions, identity services, access models, and reusable reporting and decision-support capabilities
  • Build partnerships across business and technology teams to support Wiley’s evolving needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience leading enterprise products, platforms, or technology domains, with accountability for roadmaps, prioritisation, adoption, and business outcomes
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data platforms and data ecosystems supporting commercial and operational decision-making
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Master Data Management (MDM), data products, Business Intelligence (BI), analytics platforms, or semantic layer solutions
  • Ability to influence and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across product, engineering, architecture, governance, and commercial functions
  • Strong technical understanding for credible collaboration with engineering teams and practical, scalable solution decisions
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams while maintaining clear priorities, accountability, and effective stakeholder partnerships
  • Strong prioritisation and decision-making skills
  • Clear and confident communication skills for business and technology audiences
  • Experience establishing or maturing product management practices within an enterprise technology environment
  • Success consolidating complex and fragmented stakeholder demand into a clear, unified product roadmap
  • Track record of improving data trust, technology adoption, delivery effectiveness, and measurable business outcomes
  • Familiarity with identity management, data governance, reusable data products, shared definitions, and enterprise access models from a product ownership perspective
