About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze and investigate associate and customer activity across retail stores and online channels
  • Identify fraud, policy violations, theft, and Asset Protection concerns using exception-based reporting, AI-assisted analysis, and department reporting
  • Conduct thorough investigations across all brands and channels into suspected internal and external fraud, theft, and policy violations
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, well-documented investigations and case summaries
  • Compile documentation and prepare investigative findings for Asset Protection, Legal, HR, law enforcement partners, and financial institutions when appropriate
  • Maintain department files, records, investigative documentation, and case management records
  • Complete case reporting, case auditing, PCI compliance hotlines, and CCPA review
  • Support trend analysis, statistical reporting, and senior leadership updates
  • Provide investigative support to Asset Protection Managers, Directors, the Vice President, Legal, HR, and Risk Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners, law enforcement, financial institutions, associates, and customers
  • Review systems and documentation to identify gaps and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Asset Protection standards
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Develop ad hoc queries, AI prompts, reports, and case summaries using data management and reporting tools
  • Complete special projects and additional responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Asset Protection, retail, or care center environment
  • Strong intermediate database and spreadsheet management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and MicroStrategy
  • Knowledge of social networking platforms and basic online investigative tools preferred but not required
  • Experience in AI-assisted analysis and reporting is a plus
  • Experience with exception-based reporting systems, such as Appriss Secure 5, is a plus
  • Wicklander integrity interview certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to type on a keyboard and operate a PC
  • Ability to communicate by telephone, Zoom and Teams
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Must not require current or future immigration sponsorship, including H-1B or other employment-based immigration
