About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design prompts, conversation flows, knowledge content, and tool integrations
- Test complete customer experiences against realistic scenarios and expectations
- Translate customer problems into agent behaviors, tools, and workflows
- Prototype and validate solutions, building directly where appropriate and partnering with platform engineers when product or infrastructure changes are needed
- Develop scalable testing systems for representative customer scenarios
- Reproduce failures and distinguish prompt/configuration issues from model or platform problems
- Use customer call results and feedback to recommend and implement agent improvements
- Identify opportunities to expand agent usefulness and measure task completion, patient experience, and reduced staff effort
- Preserve privacy and appropriate human handoffs
- Identify shared customer needs and contribute reusable capabilities, implementation approaches, and product roadmap recommendations
- Partner with the Customer Delivery team and platform engineers to improve healthcare customer outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of hands-on experience building LLM-based agents, conversational experiences, or workflow automations, with concrete examples of what you built and how you tested it
- Experience with voice AI, conversation design, speech recognition, or text-to-speech systems
- Strong writing and structured reasoning; ability to turn ambiguous requests into clear instructions, decision logic, and observable success criteria
- Practical programming or scripting ability
- Comfort working with APIs, JSON, version control, and logs to build and debug workflows
- Methodical troubleshooting approach: investigate, reproduce problems, and validate fixes against the actual user experience
- Clear communication with technical and nontechnical teammates, including explaining dependencies and surfacing missing requirements early
- Helpful: experience with agent tool calling, evaluation frameworks, or automated scenario testing
- Helpful: customer implementations, technical support, or translating real-world operating requirements into working software
