About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and grow a team of Security Engineers responsible for protecting cloud-native environments, CI/CD pipelines, and core production infrastructure
  • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and operational excellence as a technical leader and people manager
  • Build partnerships with Software Development, DevOps, and Product Management teams to embed secure-by-design principles into developer workflows
  • Drive proactive vulnerability management
  • Champion the internal dogfooding program to assess, monitor, and influence product roadmaps
  • Recruit, retain, develop, and coach a globally distributed Security Engineering team
  • Establish performance goals, conduct 1:1s, and support career progression
  • Lead threat modeling and technical security reviews across product architectures and multi-cloud infrastructure
  • Create automation, policy-as-code, and developer-friendly security tooling for continuous security checks in CI/CD workflows
  • Define, implement, and govern secure baselines for multi-cloud resources and managed Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Oversee vulnerability management and remediation programs and establish preventative software supply chain controls
  • Partner with detection and response functions on alert triage, investigations, and automated incident remediation
  • Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps leadership to balance security requirements with product delivery velocity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience leading, managing, or mentoring security engineering, DevOps, or technical cloud infrastructure teams
  • 7+ years of experience in security engineering or security operations within cloud-native environments
  • Strong hands-on cloud security experience in AWS, with working knowledge of Azure or GCP
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including EKS, GKE, and AKS, and container security principles
  • In-depth understanding of cloud IAM architecture and identity security at enterprise scale
  • Hands-on experience with IaC frameworks such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, or Pulumi
  • Automation scripting/tooling experience in Python, Go, Shell, HCL, or Rego
  • Practical knowledge of web application security fundamentals and threat modeling, including OWASP Top 10 and software supply chain security
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred
  • Experience managing and scaling remote, globally distributed engineering teams is preferred
  • Experience in large-scale SaaS or managed cloud services organizations is preferred
  • Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, CIEM, or CDR platforms and methodologies is preferred
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country where the position is based without visa sponsorship
