About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Educate customers on OSHA, HIPAA, and HazCom compliance and regulations through slide presentations
- Conduct onsite facility OSHA evaluations and HIPAA gap analyses
- Provide customer consultations and compliance recommendations
- Present required PowerPoint materials during onsite services
- Provide clients with HIPAA gap analysis forms
- Deliver Mystericycle.com system overviews
- Complete a safety plan and evaluation with recommendations for Safety Data Sheets/SDS manuals
- Manage assigned territory and book of business
- Manage travel, hotel, flight, and other expenses to provide services within established due dates
- Respond to customer phone calls and emails regarding compliance questions and information
- Use electronic technology to deliver and complete onsite visits
- Upload customer documents and reports promptly
- Maintain current knowledge of bloodborne pathogens, OSHA, HIPAA, and HazCom regulations
- Study CDC protocols for healthcare workers
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree (accredited) or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment and/or OSHA/HIPAA compliance
- Completion upon joining of structured 30-hour online OSHA training and required online HIPAA training resulting in certification of course completion upon hire
- Proof of vaccination may be required for some WM customers, subject to accommodation obligations for religious or disability reasons
- Technology proficiency including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and electronic systems for onsite visits and document/report uploads
- Current competency in bloodborne pathogens, OSHA, HIPAA, and HazCom regulations
- Continued study of CDC protocols for healthcare workers
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
- Ability to travel regionally 3–4 days per week, including occasional overnight stays
- Ability to walk through medical facilities
