About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate with WM drivers to assist with problem resolution while on route
- Handle incoming service orders and direct drivers
- Resolve service issues and interact with customer service, sales, and operational staff
- Use WM proprietary software to enter ticket information and track activity
- Work with routing specialists, route managers, and service departments to optimize routes
- Dispatch drivers to calls based on customer needs, driver locations and loads, and daily factors
- Field customer calls and customer service or sales emails regarding pickups and container deliveries
- Ensure same-day service
- Initiate outbound calls to customers while drivers are on-site to resolve pickup and other issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and pickup problems
- Assist in determining daily driver staffing levels
- Record and document driver information and distribute it to appropriate departments
- Communicate with maintenance shop personnel
- Serve as an emergency point of contact for down wires and other issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6 months relevant work experience
- Flexibility in schedule required; 4 a.m. start time
- Ability to work varying shifts, with potential overtime and Saturday hours
- Up to 15% initial travel may be required
- Ability to use computers, phones, copy machines, and other standard office equipment
