About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the overall sales effort and effectiveness of sales professionals to achieve district sales objectives
- Participate in setting the district’s strategic direction
- Provide input to long- and short-term district budget planning
- Coach direct reports to optimize personal performance and individual development
- Maintain and enforce WMHS policies, standards, practices, and Core Values within the district
- Identify market sales and profit potential across district geographic locations
- Develop sales activities supporting district plans and define longer-term district potential
- Manage responsibility for achieving P&L targets
- Implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales goals and increase branch revenue
- Manage revenue, profitability, forecasts, and key performance indicators
- Manage the district aggregate prospect pipeline to support sustainable growth
- Allocate targets and quotas and manage individual and collective sales performance
- Report sales activity and results to the GM or appropriate management member
- Ensure corporate sales training programs are implemented
- Train sales professionals through corporate training, weekly one-on-one meetings, ride-alongs, and quarterly workshops
- Check sales professional job satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve satisfaction
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Management, or the equivalent in related work experience
- Ten or more years of sales experience, including five to seven years of sales management experience, or the equivalent in related work experience
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven track record of sales for products in a similar industry
- Ability to work in a mix of office and plant/field environments
- REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative, or willingness to obtain one, may be required for business travel or federal property access
