About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and activate HR solutions supporting business objectives
- Diagnose organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans
- Plan, manage, and coordinate HR functions and resources
- Manage succession planning, learning and development, and employee development programs
- Execute strategies to improve organizational health and culture
- Lead and participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Coach and advise managers across multiple functions and departments
- Deliver measurable HR solutions tied to business objectives
- Participate on operating unit and functional department leadership teams
- Propose HR solutions and organizational changes based on operational analysis
- Partner with Centers of Expertise to execute HR strategies and programs
- Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives
- Hire, lead, develop, and coach HR organization members
- Prepare presentations and provide written reports to leadership
- Advise management on employment-related legal issues and local, federal, state, provincial, and local compliance
- Execute organizational change initiatives
- Identify and apply new ideas to changing work demands
- Partner with the HR Director on process improvement and new initiatives
- Provide technical advice, knowledge, coaching, and guidance within human resources
- Partner with local teams on recruitment outreach
- Oversee new employee orientation
- Oversee employee separation notices, documentation, and exit interviews
- Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
- Oversee training on company policies and programs
- Counsel managers on employee and labor relations matters
- Participate in the budget process and analyze workforce and financial data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, Psychology or related field, or in lieu of degree, a High School Diploma or GED (Accredited) and 4 years of experience
- 5 years of experience managing human resource systems, process, programs, initiatives and professionals (in addition to education requirement)
- Demonstrated labor/union relations experience
- Experience as an HR leader, people leader and coach
- Strong business partnership and collaboration skills
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
