About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the activities of one or more areas' Inside Sales Representatives
  • Provide expertise in selling WM services over the telephone to generate additional revenue
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing programs to meet current and future customer needs
  • Guide and direct Inside Sales Representatives
  • Maintain and reinforce the corporate sales strategy with the Inside Sales Team
  • Establish and maintain high customer satisfaction on sales transactions
  • Communicate and work with the Market Area Sales Manager to resolve unique customer issues
  • Supervise Inside Sales Department activities and ensure sales call, lead generation, and contact productivity goals are met or exceeded
  • Forecast and recruit qualified candidates for available or upgraded Inside Sales Team positions
  • Develop and execute formal training and informal coaching for Inside Sales Representatives
  • Encourage feedback, answer questions, provide direction, and offer assistance
  • Update Inside Sales Representative reference materials
  • Participate in training and coaching Inside Sales staff
  • Assist with communication and maintenance of Market Area pricing and service strategies
  • Set up and maintain accurate customer records, including prospect data, contracts, orders, and service machine documentation
  • Work with the Market Area Sales Manager to develop and implement outbound-call upselling and cross-selling strategies
  • Communicate goals to Inside Sales Representatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
  • 3 years of business-to-business sales management plus three years in direct business-to-business sales, or two years of inside sales management experience (in addition to education requirement)
  • 3 years of proven success in a Level 4-6 sales position
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required to travel by air or access federal property
  • Must work in a professional office environment and use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines
