About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate the Leachate Management System (LMS) in accordance with regulatory and WM requirements
  • Maintain and repair LMS mechanical equipment, including pumps, check valves, floats, level transducers, and air compressors
  • Work with site contractors and consultants to improve the LMS
  • Use the computer SCADA system to operate and troubleshoot leachate management infrastructure
  • Inspect the LMS and complete CYCLE compliance tasks on time
  • Monitor control panels to ensure proper LMS operation
  • Maintain records of LMS maintenance activities
  • Review daily LMS data, including flow, alarms, sump depths, and loadout volume
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components and instrumentation systems associated with the LMS
  • Follow safety rules and regulations
  • Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation systems
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot SCADA systems
  • Ability to maintain and repair mechanical equipment including pumps, check valves, floats, level transducers, and air compressors
  • Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Successful completion of applicable drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
  • Eye/hand/foot coordination
  • Ability to sit, talk, and hear
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive role and comply strictly with safety rules and protocols
