About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and mechanical equipment under supervision
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards
- Perform work according to established safety procedures, including HECP and PPE requirements
- Communicate directions and specifications verbally and in writing to team members
- Follow directions and guidance from supervisors and other technicians
- Document repairs, replacements, maintenance tasks, parts usage, labor hours, and diagnostic findings in fleet maintenance software
- Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, fluid checks, filter and wiper blade replacements, and inspections
- Test vehicle systems and components; adjust settings, calibrate sensors, and fine-tune systems
- Assist with repairs and component replacements involving engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
- Maintain tools, equipment, shop facilities, and organized work areas
- Assist technicians, mechanics, and supervisors with repairs and service calls for breakdowns
- Wash vehicles and equipment
- Perform other maintenance-related work as required
- Complete assigned mandatory online and in-class training modules
Requirements
What you’ll need- No previous experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Must have all required tools to fulfill the responsibilities and requirements of the job
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use tools properly and safely
- Ability to follow safety procedures, including Hazardous Energy Control Procedures (HECP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in inside garage, shop, or gas plant conditions and outside conditions including inclement weather, heat, and humidity
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, feeling, standing, walking, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination
- Successful compliance with safety rules and protocols
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) preferred
