About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Unload waste from incoming vehicles
  • Separate non-autoclavable waste for incineration
  • Stage waste on conveyor systems or stack it for scanning in the Biotrack system
  • Scan waste into Biotrack for recordkeeping
  • Load autoclave bins or incinerator hoppers with waste
  • Place reusable containers on the tub wash line for decontamination
  • Operate tub wash units and sprayers
  • Remove, inspect, and stack clean tubs for vehicle loading and reuse
  • Decontaminate vehicle cargo areas and reload reusable tubs
  • Ensure vehicle cargo areas are free of liquid and notify the plant supervisor when ready
  • Address housekeeping issues, including spills, wet floors, and debris
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 year of experience, preferably in plant environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to understand and follow health and safety directives
  • Ability to follow performance and conduct standards, policies and procedures that apply to the role and location
  • Valid Driver's Licence (preferred)
  • Ability to perform standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, talking, repetitive motions, walking, and hearing-related tasks
  • Willingness to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols
  • May be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing
