About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage end-to-end Record to Report operations
  • Oversee General Ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reviews, financial reporting, and period-end close activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery within agreed timelines and SLAs
  • Monitor operational performance, risks, bottlenecks, and corrective actions
  • Lead a large RTR team through Managers, Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, and SMEs
  • Manage performance, staffing, workload distribution, resource utilization, coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and capability development
  • Act as senior point of contact for client stakeholders and internal leadership
  • Lead governance meetings, manage escalations, and resolve critical issues
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, SOX requirements, internal policies, and client-specific controls
  • Support internal and external audits and close audit observations
  • Lead process simplification, standardization, automation, digitization, Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with Automation, Technology, and Transformation teams on RPA, workflow automation, AI, and analytics solutions
  • Monitor KPIs including SLA adherence, close timelines, journal entry accuracy, reconciliation aging, quality, productivity, utilization, backlog, and customer satisfaction
  • Support workforce planning, capacity management, budgeting, productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CA mandatory
  • 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in Record to Report (RTR)
  • Team handling experience mandatory
  • Mumbai candidates preferred/required
  • Must be willing to work from the office in Mumbai–Thane
  • Must be willing to work US shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM
  • Experience managing General Ledger and Record to Report operations
  • Knowledge of General Ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets accounting, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reviews, financial reporting, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
  • Knowledge of internal policies, accounting standards, SOX requirements, and client-specific controls
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, automation, RPA, workflow automation, AI, and analytics solutions
